- Question: Q: Yosemite and Logic Pro X Hello. Since there does not seem to be a thread regarding Logic Pro X on Yosemite yet, I thought I might as well get the ball rolling.

Over the years I've learned to become a late adopter. It seems that with all the 3rd party plugins, reliability becomes an issue-especially when one has several tracks in progress that call on those plugins. So for that reason I'm still on Logic Pro 9 and Mavericks. I've read a few things.
Garageband 10.1.4 works fine, but am concerned that an install may overload the CPU and ruin the computer. I also cannot upgrade my operating system. With the fact that it's a 2008 iMac I worry that it may be too much for the hard drive to handle. Out of curiosity, I am also wondering which older version of Logic would be suited to this situation despite unavailability in the app store. Unfortunately upgrading my desktop and hardware is not possible either, so I have to manage with what I have.
