Yes, My Live 10 crashes on start if my default set contains a Max4Live device. In my case my default set usually contains a convolution reverb. With version of Live10 over around 10.2 this will crash on start. My solution has been to remove the convolution reverb from my default set, let live load and then add it.
I had the same problem.. but memory is CRUCIAL too ableton...
Until I built my computer.
It might be an investment you could think about.
Like, it's not a mod, a vst... A VST is separate. It is relying on your memory...
Drivers for your sound card, ALWAYS UPDATE.. CHECK... Double Check.

Dude.. All music does is flood your memory.
Think of the piece of hardware in your computer that is called memory. What memory is... KINDA, is a Cup witha Crap load of holes in it.. So You say do this computer,
'haahahah baaajjaahah askekja wakakakkakakaaaaaaaaaaaaa!'
Computer does ,
'haahahah baaajaaa........ ask..... wakakakaaaaa'
but it has to filter thru it's memory first.
. So everything your computer .... more or less ... computes goes thru your memory.. It crashing.. It's like the Cup is OVERFLOWING.
ableton.. it could be an issue.. as ableton is a HUGE suck on memory.
I dunno... I don't know your set up. Or the VST.

If you are using freeware vst's, or something dishonest, lol... well there might be an issue. (Virus scan, clean your registry, do scandisc, ect ect ect....)
