Serum cannot find the serum preset folder. I just installed serum, everything works fine, BUT, it says serum folder missing. I cannot load default presets, not can I locate them. Before you launch Serum, simply take the entire “ Serum Presets ” folder and move it to the desired location. Then, go and launch Serum. You will be asked to point to the “ Serum Presets ” folder. Serum presets location. Xfer Serum has a simple file-based content location system only relying on filesystem and folders. This makes it easy and straight forward. On windows, the presets are stored in OS drive Documents Xfer Serum Presets Presets and user-folder is made for the users Serum Sounds/Custom presets but since it is purely file-based you can create any folder under presets.

If you want to move the preset folder for Serum, maybe to the HHD instead of the SSD, it is deceptively simple to do.

NOTE: For the latest Serum update (v1.20b9), released June 30, 2017, there is a new folder called Skins. If you are just trying to point Serum to your cloud storage version of the earlier version of Serum you will want to make sure that you keep the Skins folder and place it in the Serum Presets folder.
